Hi,
I am Han
​
I am a health and fitness coach, focusing on mental health through physical fitness, body mobility and much much more.
​
Sports and healthy living has been a passion of mine since I was young. I have always loved being active at home on the farm and at college focusing on athletics, hockey and motocross.
​
I completed my tertiary studies at the New Zealand Institute of Sport, gaining my Diploma in Sports Management and Exercise Prescription and an Advanced Diploma in Exercise Prescription. From here I furthered my studies at the Open Polytechnic to be awarded my Bachelor of Applied Science. To gain even more knowledge I have undertaken more studies, I have gained my Level 1 boxing certification, a certificate in women's pelvic health, and further to this a certification in pre and postnatal training. Currently studying for a certificate in Nutrition for conception, pregnancy and lactation.

In the few years post-study I have worked in a variety of institutes such as a Swiss ball studio and a women’s gym, which was a great experience and a huge learning curve. I also began to seriously work towards my professional goals in competitive hurdles and a very promising athletics career. However, my athletics days were cut short following a bad accident during a hurdles race. It was at this time in my life, as I was laid horizontally working on recovering, that I had a lot of time to think.

I started to notice the massive lack of emphasis placed on health and wellness for both males and females in the fitness industry. In general, a major lack of fitness programmes and training that focused not only on physical fitness but mental fitness, enabling the client to maintain a positive and sustainable personal well-being throughout each training session and beyond.
​
Fitness is more than going for a run and feeling good or having to look a certain way…I finally clicked, it was time to act and help make a positive change in my industry. I started my first ever Hanshealthyfitness class in Waipukurau at a small hall. Numbers were low, and I was nervous as heck! But while time has progressed I gained more confidence and have quickly gained many more clients.
​
Hanshealthyfitness Training sessions and programmes now include large/medium group training sessions, one-on-one sessions, fitness programmes, eating guides, merchandise and a support forum to connect with other like-minded individuals. Each member is provided with a personal assessment, programme, goal book, nutrition plan and both group and one-on-one support as they begin their fitness journey. Each programme is tailored to your needs, whether you are a seasoned professional or a complete novice, I have the programme for you.

I have been lucky enough to learn a lot about what there is to know about fitness, training and well-being in both a professional and personal environment. Let me teach you how to use these practical skills to help you become a healthier, fitter and happier you.
